In 18 years when it’s time to get kittens again (when all the ones I have passed, and I’ve bawled my eyes out) I’m getting litter mates again. Because I can never get tired of seeing this. Look at them!! They spoon and hug each other!!

We have crayola bath tub crayons at our house - I bought them so Daisy (who’s 7, and an only child) could draw little pictures on the bath tub walls - instead she writes me little love letters on the walls for me to find when I go take a shower She doesn’t write them when she’s in the tub - she’ll go in the bathroom just because she wants to write me a note I couldn’t ask for a better daughter

maybe grab a tissue, you may get a little tear.

first, here’s a bit of info about Daisy. she is a VERY family centered girl. she’d pass up anything to just spend a night at home playing games, talking, reading, and just generally spending time with her “family” (which includes any number of our close friends that we’ve adopted)

Daisy woke up this morning, and first thing she says is, “Mom, can I have some of your extra money, I want to bring it to school to send to Haiti”

honestly, my first thought was “extra money, ha, I do not have extra money,” but I didn’t say this to her, and instead asked why she wanted to send money to Haiti.

“Well Mom, they told us at school about how Haiti is this small place, and they had a really bad earthquake, and people got trapped in buildings, and people got hurt. Mom, people died. They don’t have homes anymore, kids don’t have parents, parents don’t have kids. Mom, they aren’t FAMILIES anymore.”

then her face got all red and this little tear runs down her face. and oh, it broke my heart.

so Daisy has started asking every member of her family for some “extra money” to donate for her to bring to school to send to Haiti.

(and yes, Daisy really does talk like that, she’s a Little Old Person, to quote Kate, “she’s been 15 since she was 3” and sometimes, she just WISE)
